QUARTZ PRODUCT INFORMATION;

Tomalak Tile & Stone, Inc, is proud to represent CAESAR STONE, clearly one of the world's great manufacturers of quartz products for countertops, bath countertops and other special designs. We have all of the samples and colors, plus the technology to install your special selection. the following is pertinent information pertaining to this very special product;

CaesarStone had the revolutionary idea of using quartz - one of nature's hardest materials - to create a brand new surfacing product in 1987.

Superior to other manufactured and stone surfaces, CaesarStones' extraordinary physical properties soon became internationally recognized; establishing a new product genre in the industry.

Today, CaesarStone offers two products - CaesarStone - the original quartz stone surfacing material and Concetto - the stone surface made from individually cut semi-precious stone.   CaesarStone is the original quartz-based engineered stone primarily used for kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities.

CaesarStone is 93% crushed quartz, one of nature's hardest minerals. The quartz is combined with high-quality polymer resins and pigments and then compacted under intense vibration, vacuum, and pressure into dense, non-porous slabs. The slabs are post cured, gauged to precise thickness, and polished to an enduring shine.

Although long used for the finest residential countertops, CaesarStone is now offered as an attractive and versatile finish for commercial and institutional buildings. Our quartz surfacing is tough enough for the wear and tear on just about any interior surface, and beautiful enough for every architectural and decorating scheme.

The process to convert quartz to a slab/countertop was patented by Breton, an Italian company, and is used by all companies which manufacture engineered stone. This manufacturing process uses raw quartz crystals ranging in size from coarse grains to the size of rock salt. Once the quartz is ground and selected, the crystals are combined with bonding agents (resin) and color, then heated and vibro-compacted to form an impenetrable surface. The resulting slabs are a matrix of 93% quartz and 7% resin binders and pigments ... free of fissures and cracks, and impervious to water, moisture, or bacteria.

Industry wide, all quartz countertops are made with 93 percent quartz or they cannot claim the hardness, durability, or impermeability of a true quartz surface. The prescribed mixture results in a product that is non-porous, exceedingly durable, and more than twice as strong as granite and less likely to break during fabrication.

Founded in 1987, CaesarStone was an early pioneer of the natural quartz surfaces market. Its dominant position in the market has been achieved through continuous investment, extensive research and development, highly trained personnel and an advanced market infrastructure.

CaesarStone evolved a new kind of work surface by adding quartz to the Bretonstone process. The manufacture of slabs from a mixture of ground quartz aggregates, pigments and polymers proved to be the unique components necessary for this new generation of surfacing. As a result of this advanced technology, CaesarStone is able to provide improved products with unprecedented physical properties superior to those of marble, granite and other manufactured surfaces. For more than a decade, CaesarStone has set new standards in innovation and craftsmanship and continues to set the trends in the industry.

ALSO;

Its hard, nonporous surface makes CaesarStone simple to clean. In most cases, soap and water or a mild detergent is all that is required to maintain its luster. If necessary, a non-abrasive cleanser such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel with Bleach or Comet Soft Cleanser Cream With Bleach can be used along with a non-scratch or delicate scrub pad such as blue Scotch-Brite sponge. Adhered materials like food, gum, or nail polish can be scraped away with a plastic putty knife; any marks left by the blade can be removed with Soft Scrub Liquid Gel and a blue Scotch-Brite pad. Thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water to remove residue.

While CaesarStone does not require sealants or waxes to maintain its luster, occasional polishing with Soft Scrub Bleach Gel or Comet Gel will keep the quartz surfacing looking its best.

Please understand that HONED finishes will require more daily maintenance than our polished finishes. Since there is more exposed surface area with honed finishes, metal marks, finger prints and other signs of daily living will show on honed material. Most of these marks can be easily removed with little effort and non-abrasive cleaning products such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel. For tough stains, work the area with a blue Scotch Brite pad.

CaesarStone prides itself in providing our customers a virtually care-free surface, but as with any product, excessive abuse can harm its finish. With a small amount of care, your CaesarStone surface will look as great as the day you bought it for years to come.
